Tanya's Blurbs
Hey!
Thanks for visiting Mysteries and Mystics. Let me just give you a brief
overview of this site and a little bit about yours truly. I promise I won't bore
you to death ;)
As you may already know, this is a site about things that are mysterious or
supernatural in nature; things that you have always wondered about but afraid to
ask. Some of the stuff may be a bit scary but not too frightening, while others
may be interesting and intriguing.
Because of my great interest (and some knowledge) in these areas, the owner
of the site has appointed me chief editor. A pretty impressive title, huh? But
really all I do is proofread articles that others write, checking for spelling
and grammatical errors, and make some modifications so that they meet the
standard criteria for the site. I also write my own articles. In fact, most of
the articles on this site are written by me. I think my mom will be proud of me
:)
Okay, now a little about myself... I'm in my early 20's, a single mother with a very pretty
(just like her mom, he he!) 8 year old daughter
whom I love very much although she's a real brat. Again, just like her mom
who was born to be wild! Ha ha!
My daughter Sandra and I are free spirited and enjoy our lives to
the fullest. We love nature and are barefoot most of the time. Not just around
the house but pretty much everywhere, even in public places like grocery stores
and stuff. While some think it's gross, we think it's cool and fun and makes us
feel connected to Mother Earth. If you're interested in that kind of lifestyle, you can read
about going barefoot in
public, written by a friend of mine.
My kid and I are lucky to live in the
South where it's warm most of the time, so we're barefoot pretty much year
round. When it's too cold, we just
wear
flip flops at most. My daughter goes to school in flip flops, and I work
barefoot. We rarely ever need to wear shoes.
I also like mystery books, ghost stories, and some horror movies. Naturally,
Halloween is my (and my daughter's) favorite holiday. So, you
will find a few articles on those topics as well. I realize some of the topics covered
are controversial and perhaps even taboo especially to those who are religious.
But I don't give a
. Oops, excuse my French! <giggles>
I know, I have a potty mouth. My dad would slap me on the face if he ever heard
me cuss. One time he actually slapped me in front
of my daughter. Talk about being embarrassed! But my little girl knows grandpa
is the conservative type and can be pretty mean sometimes. Well, like I said, I
was born to be wild and it's fun to be naughty although sometimes I have to pay
the price. But that's life and I love it.
The other web site which I also write regularly for, does not allow
profanity. Ok, fine with me. I'm
just a staff writer there so I can't say much. Actually I tried a couple of
times to sneak in the "F" word but they found out and I got chastised :) But here I'm in charge (well, sorta),
so I have more freedom to do as I please. The so called "bad words" are a part of
everyday life. To me as long as you don't use it excessively like in every
other sentence, it's cool.
But I'm sorry if you're easily offended; perhaps you should go to
the other cool site.
You can read my articles there with no bad words in them.
I firmly believe everyone is placed on this planet to
enjoy life. That's our mission and no other person has the right to stop us!
Religions are created by human beings to control others using fear
tactics. I believe in God but not the way he is portrayed by most organized
religions. I believe God is all love and wants to give us the best this universe
has to offer. All we have to do is open ourselves up so that all the love,
richness, and abundance can flow in. Simple, right? That's the way life should
be. No reason to make things complicated.
So yeah, I'm here to enjoy life, and I plain refuse to be told by others
that I can't do this or that because they consider it immoral, evil or
whatever. I mean if that's what they really believe, fine. I respect that (mmm...
not really, I just try not to be an asshole as long as they're not). No one
should force their beliefs on others. I certainly don't. So in case some of you
find any of the stuff here objectionable, then hey... the "back" or "close"
button is just a mouse-click away. So don't send me any hate mail :p
OK folks, thanks for reading what I had to say. Enjoy your visit, and have a
wonderful day!

naughty Chief Editor |
