Witch Store Information And Story
by Tanya Robbins
A witch store typically sells a variety of stuff pertaining to witchcraft,
Wicca, and paganism in general. You can expect to find things like ritual items,
books of shadows, information on magick, crystal balls, incense, herbs, candles,
and jewelry among others in a witch shop.
I work in a witch store owned by a friend's family. It all started a few years
ago right after I finished high school. I needed a job to support my little
daughter and myself. One of my friends and her family happen to be Wiccans and
they own a witch craft supply store. Knowing I had a great interest in the occult and
mystics, they offered me a job as a clerk in their witch craft store, and I thought it was
way cool!
I was really amazed at all the stuff they had in the witch store like books on
magick spells, divination, even knives, swords, and armory. It was like being in
the medieval time with all the magic and wonders. I totally loved working in their
witch craft supply store and couldn't get enough of all the stuff. To top it all off, I was
making money at the same time.
However, not everyone approved of me working in a witch store. Some of my
religious friends thought I had lost my soul to the devil and would be damned to hell :)
Others simply thought it was weird and creepy. You see, it all stems from
ignorance and prejudices. Sadly, many people still believe all witches are evil.
They could certainly use a lesson or two in
Witchcraft for Beginners.
Nevertheless, working in the witch store has a peculiar effect on me,
especially in the beginning. Being a clerk in a witch craft supply store you have to be
pretty knowledgeable in the occult. You need to know about witchcraft and
spells, about signs and portents, oils and potions, and also about
synchronicity.
It was the synchronicity that kinda got to me. You see, I'm
quite receptive to my environment and sensitive to energy. Certain folks who
shop at the witch craft store would talk about strange happenings in their lives, some of
which were rather uncanny.
They would be thinking about a certain individual like a long lost friend or
even a celebrity, and would run into that person the very next day! When I first
started working at the witch store, I tended to dismiss these occurrences as
pure coincidence. My other friends said all that was
superstitious mumbo-jumbo.
But you know what? The longer I worked in the witch store, the more I started to
notice some strange coincidences that happened in my own life. Soon I realized
that I could actually control my life through conscious will. Before long, my
belief system was the same as my friend and her family's as well as those who
visited that witchcraft store regularly. I now believe that not only my actions, but
my thoughts and experiences as well, determine what will happen to me. If I
desire something strongly enough, it will come true. I create my own destiny,
and that's really powerful!
I can truly say that working in the witch store, along with reading metaphysical
books, has transformed my life. It has changed my outlook on life for the
better. I have become more loving and peaceful, and I'm always happy. I look for
and experience the magick and wonders of life every day. I'm able to enjoy life
to the fullest. How many people can honestly say that? So working in a witch
store isn't that bad after all, right? :) Recently I also watched
The Secret which
reinforced what I had learned.
Today I realize that there are really no coincidences. You attract whatever your
mind focuses on, good or bad. You are in control of your life, and that
certainly makes life very interesting. I also use that knowledge to make more
sales. Often times a customer at the witch store would make eye contact with me
and we know that we "connect." That establishes trust, and selling them the
products in the witch shop takes very little convincing.
Oh, another great thing about working in the witch store is that I can work in
bare feet, yay! I love being barefoot and it's one way for me to feel close to Earth
Mother. That's what I always tell those who ask why I don't wear anything on my
feet (except toe rings and ankle bracelets) and let them get all dirty. Hey,
it's a witch store, what do you expect? :)
So have you ever been to a witch store? If not, you should go visit one. Even if
you're not a witch but open minded enough, visiting a witchcraft store will be
an eye-opening experience. Perhaps you're a witch and are looking for a witch
craft supply store in your area? Just do a search on the web and see what's
available. Many of these witch stores also have web sites where you can shop
online and get your items delivered to wherever you live. Ah, the magic of the
internet :) So go check 'em out and experience the magick!
Blessed Be
